The ORBIT Plus Thin Cutting Frame Saw was developed for cutting solid wood
blocks into gluable slats with a minimum of saw kerf waste. Thin Cutting Frame
Saw ORBIT utilizes a unique up/down method of movement for cutting veneer slats.
Unlike conventional frame saws that move up and down in a lineal motion, the
ORBIT Thin Cutting Frame Saw uses a patented swing-out motion at the bottom of
the saw stroke.
Applications of use: Parquet and engineered flooring, doors, windows, stairs,
furniture, musical instruments, pencils, sport equipment (ski, snowboards, hokey
sticks), wooden-covers for fruit and vegetables, etc.

This unique movement of Thin Cutting Frame Saw ORBIT has several distinct advantages over the frame movements on older, conventional frame saws. With a conventional frame saw, a great deal of heat is generated by sawdust that is captured/packed into and around the saw blade teeth. This occurs because the sawdust and wood chips are unable to clear out from the blade during the upstroke. This fact is especially true when cutting high, as some of the teeth in the center of the saw blades never clear out of the cut. Because the ORBIT saw frame moves out of the cut during the upstroke, wood chips and sawdust fall clear from the saw blades. The result is less heat build up on the saw blade, longer saw blade life, dust free slats, the ability to use a thinner kerf saw blade and first of all increased production capacity of the ORBIT frame saw.

Side Guide
Side Guide is used for wood blocks guiding as far as maximum working width of machine - by the type of machine:
ORBIT – maximum working width "B" = 150 mm
POWER – maximum working width "B" = 150 mm
MAMUTH – maximum working width "B" = 220 mm
This equipment is possible to use for processing of almost all kinds of wood blocks. We recommend to process the wood blocks at least from two sides - bottom and side surface. Height tolerance ± 0.1 mm must be held. Wood blocks are pressed against the Side Guide by mechanical levers. This equipment is not suitable for processing of wooden blocks, which thickness is less than 30 mm.
Center Guide
Center Guide is used for processing of two wooden blocks at the same time. For properly function must be ensured a height tolerance of wooden blocks ± 0.1 mm. Blocks are pressed against the Center Guide by adjustable levers via pneumatic cylinders or mechanically via hand into the fixed position. Maximum working width of wood blocks are limited:
ORBIT – maximum working width "B" = 65 mm
POWER – maximum working width "B" = 65 mm
MAMUTH – maximum working width "B" = 100 mm
This equipment is not suitable for processing of wooden blocks, which thickness is less than 30 mm.
Channel Guide
Channel Guide is used for processing of several wooden blocks at the same time. For properly function must be ensured the height tolerance of wooden blocks ± 0.1 mm. Blocks are guided towards the saw blades between the steel plates. For properly function of this system must be ensured the surfaces and edges processing. We recommend four-side-preplaned sawn wood (S4S) with accuracy of ± 0.1 mm. Max. number of the channels depends on the working width of the machine and on the thickness of the wood blocks.
Saw Frame (Stretching Frame)
Saw Frame is used for tensioning of the saw blades. Assemblying of the Saw Frame is done in the fixture called the Mounting Frame. Saw Frame with saw blades is fastened in the Main Carriage Frame of the machine in simply way. It is possible to add to every machine extra Saw Frames. Type of Saw Frame depends on type of the machine and on length of saw blades (according to cutting height).
Saw Spacers with holes
Saw Spacers fill a gap between saw blades and so they indicate thickness of the lamellas (slats). Saw Spacers with holes are determined for the Bottom Holder of Saw Frame.
Saw Spacers without holes
Saw Spacers fill a gap between saw blades and so they indicate thickness of the lamellas (slats). Saw Spacers with holes are determined for the Top Holder of saw frame.
Bottom Outfeed Planing Module
Bottom Planing Module on outfeed removes minor splinters on the bottom side of lamellas (slats). Draft of bottom module is fluently adjusted in and extent of 0-2 mm. Resultant measurement of planned lamellas is in accurate measure ± 0.1 mm. The bottom module can be equipped by the electronic measuring on demand. First of all it is determined for exact production of parquetry.
Top and Bottom Outfeed Planing Module
Top and Bottom Planing Module on outfeed is designated for removing torn out wood fibres from bottom and top side of material being cut. It serves at the same time for accurate height calibration of produced lamellas (slats). The Bottom Planing Module is the part of the Top Planing Module. The draft of bottom module is fluently adjusted in extent of 0-2 mm. The top module is possible adjust to the whole working range of machine. Resultant measurement of processed lamellas is in an accurate measurement ± 0.05 mm. The module is in standard equipped by electronic measuring with possibility of subtraction of both values of planing modules and its absolute value = resulted measurement of product. First of all it is determined for exact production of parquetry.
Top Infeed Planing Module
Top Infeed Planing Module installed on the Thin Cutting Frame Saw infeed helps to calibrate your input material in order to ensure proper feeding through the machine. You don't need to calibrate the material in height and process it directly after the multi-rip saw process.
Rubber Coating of the Top (Bottom) Rollers
The layer of PU on feed rollers ensures feed of wooden blocks - eliminates different of block heights. This method is used in combination with Central-Guide-Equipment or Channel-Guide.
Automatic Hopper Feeder
Automatic Hopper Feeder is designated for automatic feeding of sawn wood blocks - pneumatic cylinder pushes the wooden blocks into machine. The use is especially suitable in combination with Channel-Guide or for processing of the short wooden blocks. By using of the Automatic Hopper Feeder more machines can be operated by one worker. There is no limit for length of wooden blocks – from 200 mm and more.
Adjustable Chip Breaker between saw blades
Chip Breaker prevents making of splinters on the bottom side of wooden blocks. Chip Breaker supports processed wood near of the saw blades. The using is especially suitable for production of thin-lamellas or for cutting of wood with different structure of the spring and summer wood.
Air Blast System (Top and Bottom)
Air Blast System is designated for cutting-heights above 100 mm. Saw blades are cooled with compressed air expansion. Top-Air Blast System helps to blow out the sawn-dust and splinters out of kerfs. You can prolong the live time of saw blades up to 30% with using of this equipment.
